Via SMH (“Monster rat found in ‘lost world’ jungle“):
“Researchers in a remote jungle in Indonesia have discovered a giant rat – five times the size of a typical city rat – and a tiny possum that are apparently new to science.”
Good Lord! I don’t feel so bad about the miscellaneous rodent population we’ve got [...]

In the Home Stretch

The last several weeks have been shocking work-wise. I’m overworked, underpaid and more frazzled and stressed out than a turkey the week before Thanksgiving. I’d love to have a massive bitch about how unfair the working conditions are and how much of a morale killer it all is, but someone might stumble across [...]

I figure if I’m going to do this properly and lend any semblance of legitimacy to my tech thoughts and recommendations I’d better front up and tell you who I am.
My name is Mike Bogle and I work for a large Sydney university as the eLearning Delivery Coordinator & Research Officer.
Effectively this means two things:
a) [...]

I haven’t died. I’m just very busy.
UPDATE 11 November 2007: Ok it’s been nearly a week since I wrote that and I’ve posted diddly squat since then. I have started another blog, a wiki, and posted countless tweets on Twitter since then though. So cut me some slack

Spent the whole weekend sleeping and just recuperating from the wretched flu. Seem to have completely lost the capacity to blog anything coherent lately. Can’t even bring myself to write about the Haneef debacle – which is a crime in itself really.
Hopefully inspiration will return soon because the blog has begun to gather [...]

Out with the flu today and feeling pretty crappy all in all. Doing a really good job at playing the sook too. Then I get a system notification from YouTube indicating someone commented on my rendition of “The Time’s They Are A-Changin’“
“If Dylan was God, you would be one of his biggest prophets!”
Thanks [...]
First day of session

Day one of session began today. Not nearly as exciting as previously anticipated, but still plenty to keep me busy. I have a job interview tomorrow to hopefully formalise my current position (wish me luck). I haven’t been inundated yet, though a couple of unwanted surprises arose today and damage control was [...]
Cold, cold, cold

There’s something inherently wrong in the temperature feeling like -7.2 degrees C, but there being NO SNOW.
My electricity and gas bills are going to cost a fortune this winter…
